Milland House Cottages Booking Terms and Conditions

Definitions

 

  • Accommodation; the property specified in the booking

  • Accommodation Fees; the amount payable by you as rental for the Accommodation during a rental period

  • Charges; the Charges (in addition to the Accommodation Fees) payable by you in relation to a Reservation, namely cleaning charge

  • Milland House Cottages; or we, us, our being the landlords, Mr and Mrs Patrick Gaynor of Milland House, GU30 7JN

  • Rental Period; the period of time for which the Accommodation is made available to you and confirmed in writing by us

  • Reservation ; the booking made for the Accommodation as below

  • ‘You’ or ‘Your’; lead guest booking

Booking procedure
A booking shall be binding, and a contract formed on these terms between You and Milland House Cottages, when a booking is accepted by Milland House Cottages and confirmed in writing.


Payment
The Accommodation Fees and Charges payable by You shall be as set out in the booking or as otherwise notified by Milland House Cottages on confirmation of Your Reservation.


A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the Accommodation Fee is payable upon booking. Any outstanding Charges comprising the balance of the Accommodation Fee, cleaning fee and damage deposit, shall be due no later than 2 weeks before the start of the Reservation. If the booking is made less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the Reservation, all sums due shall be payable at that time of booking. By paying such amount You accept these terms.


Final balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival along with the damages deposit (see below). If the balance is not received following reminders it will be regarded as a cancellation and Your Reservation cancelled forfeiting the deposit.

 


Damage and accidents
A damages deposit of £200 is due with Your final balance and is fully refundable following Your departure after inspection of the property.


You will notify us immediately if any damage is caused to the Accommodation or contents so that it can be repaired as soon as possible.


Milland House Cottages shall have no liability to You for, the death or personal injury to You or any one in Your party, except where caused the owners negligence, or for any loss or damage to Your personal property, in each case except as may not be permitted or limited by law.

 


Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel the Reservation at any time but shall only receive a refund as set out below:


More than 2 weeks before the Reservation start date:

  • 50% deposit – non refundable


If cancellation notice is received less than 2 weeks before the Reservation start date*:

  • First 50% deposit – non refundable

  • Second 50% fee – remains payable and is non refundable

  • Cleaning Charge and damage deposit – refundable


*If we can re-let Your Reservation dates You will be offered a refund minus the non-refundable deposit or the option to transfer the deposit and balance across to another holiday date.
 

 

Guest obligations
You will, and will ensure that each member of Your party will:

 

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, arrive and leave the Accommodation on the dates and at the times set out in the booking.

  • Take reasonable care of the Accommodation and its contents and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the Reservation.

  • Comply with any reasonable instructions or user manual for the Accommodation in relation to usage of the Accommodation, its appliances and contents.

  • Notify us immediately in writing of any damage that occurs to the Accommodation or any contents during the Reservation.

  • Not increase the size of the party as set out in the booking without prior written consent.

  • Allow the owners access to the Accommodation during the Reservation, on reasonable notice.

  • Not sub-let any part of the Accommodation or assign or otherwise transfer the benefit of the Reservation.

  • Not to cause any annoyance or nuisance to neighbours or other occupiers.

  • Not carry out any trade or business from the property.

  • Not smoke in any part of the Accommodation.

 

Dogs
We allow small well behaved dogs at Knoll Hill House on the ground floor and in the non-carpeted areas.


Limitations and exclusions of liability


We shall use our reasonable skill and care in providing the Accommodation and any materials supplied or used shall be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


Nothing in this Agreement shall limit either party’s liability to the other for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by their negligence, or for any other liability that may not be excluded or limited by law.


Milland House Cottages shall not be liable for injuries or loss of life of anyone in the party, any loss or damage caused to any items, belongings or vehicles of the Guest. You are strongly recommended to obtain suitable insurance to cover any such losses.
 

Covid–19
In the event that one of Your party are showing symptoms of coronavirus before or during Your trip, You are advised to follow all relevant government guidance.


In the event that You are unable to proceed with Your booking due to Covid-19, we are unable to offer refunds. You are advised to obtain adequate travel insurance at the time of booking to cater for all possiblec ircumstances arising from the implications of Covid-19.


Personal data
To provide the Accommodation we collect personal data about You and members of Your party. We shall collect and use such personal data in accordance with our privacy policy, as set out on the website from time to time.
